We're using the Airship Rest API from our server to send push messages to mobiles. We see quite a few 429 errors (Too many similar requests) during the course of a day, impacting our service. We don't think that we're sending an unreasonable amount of requests but can't find any information about how different the requests need to be and/or what the limits are (requests per minute per request type?). Can someone please fill me in if there's any more information?
As a bit more information, we think many of our requests are looking the same because we use tags to inform devices they need to phone home for more information. We're in a testing phase, so perhaps those requests are more frequent than usual. But if the limits are within our operational expectations, then we may have to look at swapping out Airship for another service.
