quickstart guide android

it says
gcmSender = Your Google API Project Number, however gcmSender id, is the id u retrieve after enabling google cloud messaging and generating google-services.json, i've spent whole day, trying to solve this issue. I think it would be a good idea to update 6th step in your quickstart guide

  • Hi Mykhailo,

This is Sean with Urban Airship Technical Support.

Your GCM Sender ID is the Project Number of your Android app. It is displayed on the home page of your app in the Google Developer Console.

Here is a screenshot of the number you are looking for:

When you click on the arrow to the right to expand, you will see the project number here:

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

    Thank you,

  • I spend a lot of time stuck on the same thing.  The problem is the Urban Airship service settings for Android says "api key".

If it is really the Project Number, then at least put "Project Number/GCM Id" in parenthesis.
