Hello--

I am trying to find the best way to learn about our daily/monthly active app users. Right now, I'm using the Unique App Opens Report, however, this is more of a measure of sessions (non-unique) and not individual users.

Does anyone have a solution?

  • Insight would be your best bet.  It gets incredibly specific data from your users and is managed through the web dashboard. 

    I'd recommend trying the free 30 day trial to see just how much detail you can get.  There is an Insight tab at the very top of the screen when you are viewing the web dashboard that will guide you through the process.

    I'm trying to pull retroactive data through Insight, however, it doesn't seem to be working at all and still reverting back to stats about yesterday, last 7 days and last 30 days.

     

    Would you be able to help?

  • Unfortunately Insight is unable to pull data from before the service begins.  To do so would require holding large amounts of data on our servers that might not ever be accessed.

  • I realized that I should have double checked to see if you had seen the Unique App Opens Report documentation to see if that information shows the specifics you were wanting.  Does that fit what you are needing?

  • I have Insights but on both Overview and LifeCycles tabs, using the filter for date ranges, it does not seem to matter what date ranges I try, the numbers stay the same.  I really need to see monthly unique users...help!

  • Stittr -  The Insight dashboard can take some time to populate after setting a custom date range.  That being said, the monthly unique users should be in a box that populates on the main Overview screen of Insight.  To make sure we are looking at the same thing, can you tell me which industry you have set your app to?
