Java-library missing payload properties

Leonard Bouchet

Hello,

We're using the urban airship java-library to send push notifications. Since a while (and still in the last version 4.2.0) some properties are missing from the library.

For example, those properties can be set in the json payload (https://docs.airship.com/api/ua/#schemas/androidoverrideobject), but we cannot find the way to set it using the java library :

com.urbanairship.api.push.model.notification.android

AndroidDevicePayload :
- icon
- icon_color
- notification_channel
- notification_tag

Is there any way to set them ?

Have you planned to add those properties (if yes, when and in which version) ?

Regards.

Hi Leonard,

Thanks for contacting Airship. My name is Chilun from Technical Support here at Airship and I would be happy to help with this.

The answer to you question is no. The Java library doesn't support those payload properties as it is. However, I'm currently working on finding a workaround so bear with me on this and I'll get back to you on that once I have it. Have asked internally about plans for adding those properties - will look to have an answer for you on this as soon as I have received it.

Kind regards,
