Simulator .apns file?

You can drag a .apns file of JSON onto an iOS Simulator on a Mac to mock a push notification.

I can do this without issue for my iOS app with Airship in it, but I can't figure out what to put in the .apns file to mock/debug a push notification that has deep linking.

  • In order to simulate and debug a push notification with deep linking on an iOS Simulator using a .apns file, it is important to properly structure the JSON payload. The payload should include essential keys such as "aps" for notification content, as well as a "url" or "link" field for deep linking. It is crucial to ensure that the payload accurately represents the notification's title, body, and deep link URL. By doing so, you can effectively test and debug your iOS app's notification behavior directly on the simulator, aiding in the overall testing and debugging process.
