Using Emoji from your Windows or Mac computer

For users who would like to add emoji to their messages, below are the steps to bring up an Emoji keyboard while on your computer.

For Windows 10: (http://blog.getemoji.com/emoji-keyboard-windows):

1. Click or tap in the field you want to enter
2. Press either Windows Key and . (Period) or Windows Key and ;.
3. Emoji picker should display on the screen. Click the emoji you would like to select.

For Windows 8/8.1: (http://blog.getemoji.com/post/125170927430/how-to-use-emojis-on-windows-8-and-windows-81):

1. In Desktop Mode, right-click on the taskbar and choose “Touch Keyboard” inside the Toolbars section.
2. A new icon appears in your system tray in the bottom-right, which looks like a keyboard. Click it.
3. The on-screen keyboard appears, click on the smiley face.
4. The emoji keyboard should appear. Click on the emoji you would like to select.
5. This should enter emoji into the currently selected field.

For OSX: (http://osxdaily.com/2015/05/27/quick-type-emoji-mac-keyboard-shortcut/)

1. Place the cursor where you can enter text
2. Press Command + Control + Spacebar to bring up the Emoji keyboard
3. Select the Emoji you would like to use
