Is there an API available to get the list of messages pushed ?? The idea is to use a backend setup to get message related data for a particular user, and not use the SDK.

Unfortunately, we don't have an API available whereby you can get the list of messages that have been pushed.
However, what I would recommend doing is if you're sending push solely through our API is to collect the Push Id.
The Push Id, then, can be used to get reports for a particular message.
Note, however, the reporting will not show you who the push was delivered to. Engage reporting is all at an aggregate level.
If you want user level reporting, you might consider Connect or Insight that provide more granular level of detail on your push metrics.
